Who we are

Snaglad is a web application for snagging inspections on newly built homes in Ireland. For privacy questions, email hello@snaglad.ie.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) if you are not satisfied with how we handle your data.

What we collect

The data we hold depends on how you use the site.

• Account data: email address and password (hashed by our auth provider) when you create an inspector account.
• Profile data: display name, company name, contact email, phone, and optional report logo.
• Inspection data: projects, plans, snag records, photographs, and generated PDF reports that you upload or create in the app.
• Demo requests: name, email, optional company, and your message.
• Technical data: IP address and device information processed by our hosting and database providers to keep the service running.
• Analytics data (only if you opt in): page path, approximate location, referrer, and engagement time via Google Analytics 4.

Why we use it

We process personal data to provide the snagging app, respond to demo requests, keep accounts secure, and - only with consent - understand how the public site is used.

• Contract and pre-contract steps: creating your account and storing your inspections.
• Legitimate interests: securing the service, preventing abuse, and answering support mail.
• Consent: Google Analytics on marketing and sign-in pages. You can withdraw this at any time from Cookie settings.
• Legal obligation: keeping records we are required to keep, and responding to data-subject requests.

Processors

We use specialist providers. They only process data on our instructions.

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage, and edge functions). Choose an EU region for production so inspection photos and reports stay in the EEA.
• Cloudflare Pages (hosting and content delivery for the website).
• Google Analytics 4, loaded only after analytics consent, on public and authentication pages - not inside /projects or /inspections.
• Resend or another transactional email provider for demo-request alerts and (once configured) branded auth email.

How long we keep it

Account and inspection data stay until you delete the project, inspection, or account, or until you ask us to erase it.

Demo requests are kept long enough to reply and then deleted or archived with access limited to the operators of Snaglad.

Analytics retention in Google Analytics should be set to 14 months. Consent records live in your browser until you clear site data or we bump the consent version.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Children

Snaglad is a business tool for inspectors. It is not directed at children.
